PARTY!

For my Junior year final art exhibition, we were asked to come up with three cohesive pieces on any subject matter of our choice.

I chose to do a visual research on what it really means to “party” in this day in age. To visually accomplish this, I examined the effect of what happens when a physical medium (paint) is put onto a digital medium of printed photographs taken at parties, and what happens when the physical medium obscures portions of a photo. This research of obscuration is through the specific lenses of the unseen at college parties. This visual research delves into the conversation about college life, the grime and dirtiness of a night out.
