SMC GRAPHIC DESIGN
In the Fall semester of my Senior year at St. Michael's College I took a Graphic Design course. Here I learned the process of Graphic Designs, the critical components of what makes a good design, and how to get there.

I am also in the process of a second graphic design course through the New York Institute of Art and Design to be certified in Adobe Creative Suite and to have a more expanded knowledge and understanding of Graphic Design.
Below are some projects from my Graphic Design Course at St. Michael's College.
BOOK DESIGN
For this project, we were asked to design a layout for a book in Adobe Illustrator on the subject of our choosing. For my subject I chose Woodstock. We were asked to design a cover page, end papers, a half title page, a full title page, a chapter opening, and two text pages. All of which had to be double spreads. The goal of the assignment was explore the format of book design and show our understanding of typography and its hierarchy in order to have a controlled read. We were to include heading, sub-head, text, captions, and footer. Below is my design, starting with the cover page and ending with the second end paper.
CALENDAR
For this project, we were asked to design a calendar on Adobe Illustrator for the coming year of 2020 with a photo or design to go with each month. I chose to do line drawings of my hands corresponding to each month, with a background color that I felt best represents the month. My goal was to keep the look as simple and clean as possible and still keep it interesting.
